“Music from Around the World”, a benefit concert for those impacted by the war in Ukraine, will be held at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Goodyear on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 4:00 pm in Building B. The concert will feature tenor-countertenor opera singer, Dmytro Somkin, who has performed in over 35 countries and soloed with the Kyiv, Ukraine, Symphony Chorus. His wife, Kseniia Somkina, alto, was a soloist in the Kyiv Khreshchatyk Academic Chamber Choir. They will be accompanied by Miloy Canete, CELC Director of Worship and Music. The program will include classical, sacred, and Ukrainian traditional and contemporary music. A free-will offering will be taken.
