We all have received an update concerning the Call Process for CELC. Thanks to the Call Committee for putting that together.

In this update you will notice that the Synod Office and the Church Council have agreed to extend my contract as your interim as needed. 

 

As an active pastor in the Grand Canyon Synod, thanks to CELC, I have been invited to the bishop’s fall gathering next week at the Franciscan Renewal Center in Phoenix. The theme this year is: “Lament, Love and Christian Hope in a Time such as This.” Sounds very interesting!

 

It starts on Monday, September 28 and goes through Wednesday, October 1. I will be out of the office on these days to attend this gathering.  If you haven’t been to the Franciscan Renewal Center on Lincoln, it is described as a spiritual oasis for renewal, rest and prayer. It is a fully functioning Roman Catholic Congregation as well as a retreat center. And they have a bookstore/gift shop! 



Thanks for your prayers as we continue the Call Process. I do hope some of you will participate in the Prayer Vigil that is being planned. Thank you for your continued prayers for Bob and me as we continue with you at CELC.
